In addition to my prior review comments, my Sony vaio VGN-FZ290 hard drive just went dead. Sony, however, refused to send a new hard drive directly to me but to a third party, so they can send someone out to replace it. I asked for a normal hard drive as a replacement instead of a hybrid hard drive that orginally came with the laptop, but Sony simply denied that request. They will not provide any compensation for my trouble. GOD DAMN SONY, AGAIN!

Please DO NOT get the SONY VAIO VGN-FZ290. It is loaded with software crap that will delay bootup, wireless connection, and system performance. Sony is simply greedy but STUPID. It rather get a few more dollars than getting customer satisfaction and referrals. If you doubt my judgment and want to get one, do so without your laptop engraved because you won't be able to return it. Don't make the same mistake I did. GOD DAMN SONY!
