mine is aspire 6930, i bought it last christmas, and in July it was already broken, one day it wouldn't even turn on. Send it back to the factory because it is within the one year warranty, they fixed and didn't even tell me the reason why it broke down. But after fixing it, couple functions went missing. guess after the warranty expires, i don't know what to do with this crap. Worst laptop ever, bad customer service also!!!!

The worst customer service that you could possibly imagine. Don't even bother if your warranty has expired either. They don't even want to deal with you. They suggest, these are their words , to seek out a third party repair shop to fix it. My warrant was 1 year. In that time I had one warranty job where they sent me a part to replace myself, yeah you heard that right. I had to tear down my laptop and replace a hard drive myself. Luckily I am somewhat capable of doing that kind of work. Next my video care went out, thats when I realized that 1 year after purchasing this junk and my laptop is a paper weight . Acer says, who cares.

Starts out great but eventually (8 months) crashes and needs to be restored to factory settings, costs $30 for restore disks. Then it crashes every other month until you throw it out and buy a decent laptop.

Dont expect any customer service from Acer. I asked if it was feasible to have a moniter replaced. They wanted $200.00 to talk to me.

I purchased the Acer Aspire 3620WXCi in May 2006. I have been very pleased with the laptop however, because I don't know how to delete files from my harddrive it has been freezing on me and I don't know what to do and too afraid to trust anyone to work on it! Any suggestions anyone?

I bought a new Acer Aspire. 4370 or something for $450 yesterday and have to return it tomorrow because the spacebar stopped working after about 4 hours usage. This is a piece of crap and Micro Center wants to charge me 15% for open box if I don't just exchange it for same make and model. DONT BUY THIS! The lid also shows smudges really badly.

I am looking at purchasing my first laptop. My friend has an Acer Aspire. It has worked extremely well for 2 years. There was an issue with the camera which she was able to resolve on her own. Support was unableto help. Recently it started overheating and shutting down with miminal operation. We got an external fan that helped with overheating but it continued to shut down.I finally decided it was dust heavy. Gave it a good dusting and it has run like new since. I've looked at HPs, Avios, and Apples, with all things considered, the Acer is looking great. Oh, and her's is the only laptop I've seen that has a camera that will flip. I love this feature. All laptops should have it.

i have an acer aspire 4710 so far so good.its been 17months with me now.the only problem is the battery you need ac power to turn it on.

i have an acer aspire 5590 and i was really excited about it from the start because it looked pretty good... unfortunately, looks can be deceiving... this machine has been the worst piece of investment... it has lots of hardware issues and worst of all i had it bought from china, i live in Uganda so getting any help has been very difficult and expensive, the online help centre is not helpful... its just a laptop owner's nightmare... right now, the laptop keeps blacking out every ten minutes on top of other hard drive issues.... being an architecture student, i'm just praying for a new laptop now... good luck to those that buy acer laptops in the future

I have a Acer Aspire 6920 series and I purchased it 5 months ago and I loved it. Great speed, great graphics,great screen display. I used it for photo work BUT guess what? HARD DRIVE crashed, tech support is mediocre at best and they don't offer a prepaid shipping box to send the unit in for service. You are responsible for either installing a new hard drive which they send you (they require a credit card so you will return the old drive to them), or you send it to them.

Recently acer is launching a new notebook. It's very small and cute. the name is Aspire one....I think acer is trying to improve their design and more trendy now...I like very much Aspire one and the color is cute , too. I hope it can be on the market soon!
