How about having a portable computer with dual touch screens? Toshiba managed to create the buzz with such a design in June 2010, when the manufacturer announced its Libretto W100 series. Now, we have Toshiba Libretto W100-L251 that actually showcases this feature and that too with performance beyond one's expectations.
Toshiba complete 25 successful years in the portable computer manufacturing industry and Libretto W100- L251 is the manufacturer's best way to celebrate the occasion. It is a mini laptop that packs a 1.2GHz Intel Pentium U5400 processor and RAM of 2 GB. Surprisingly, the laptop manages to run Windows 7 Home Premium operating system on both the displays simultaneously using the resources mentioned above.
The two touch-facilitated displays in the Toshiba laptop measures 7 inch each and offers the pixel resolution of 1,024 x 600. The display at the bottom plays the role of a virtual keyboard, an interesting idea to look at. A single button can be used to convert the bottom screen into a keyboard and the same button activates a virtual touch pad when tapped twice.
The integrated Intel GMA HD graphics and hard drive of 62 GB are other features of the device. There is only one USB port and no VGA port is available in the device. The Laptop features 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for network connectivity support. A micro SD slot and a basic web camera also fit in this design. Small battery life is a disappointing feature.
Though, Libretto W100-L251 is expensive, it is definitely an interesting device to have.
