About Sony Vaio VGN P588ER Laptop
Sony has over the years been a trademark representation of ‘the lifestyle PC’s’ and this one’s another offering from the stylish brand. This baby’s called the VGN P588ER. It’s a new kid on the block- in line with the VAIO P series.
Like most of the laptops of Sony in this series, the Sony VGN P588ER too is thin, sleek and light weighted- it weighs a jaw-dropping low of 1.4 pounds! The display is marketed as “8 inch extra-wide screen”. The previous statement may be a joke for some, but in the segment that the product is placed it’s a standard size (not an extra-wide thing though!). The laptop’s also equipped with a built-in mobile broadband and is home to a real time GPS functionality program. As usual, it’s the Intel processor behind the curtains with 2 GB pre-loaded memory. The Windows vista home (32 bit) is the basic operating system. Integrated webcam and a microphone make sure it meets all the basic demands of an average PC user.
This fashionable and wireless laptop can be availed in two colors- onyx black and garnet red. It’s priced at a not-so reasonable cost of $1199. It’s a typical lifestyle PC by Sony and has nothing special or different to offer from other laptops in this segment (other than a different name). It’s for the trendier office going, so-so PC user guild. No complaints anyways coz that’s how the laptop is precisely marketed.
