Lenovo ThinkPad X100e 2876 - Dual Core version Better than Single Core
ThinkPad X100e 2876 was launched by Lenovo in the very start of the year and here we are talking about another version of the laptop months later. While the original version featured a single-core processor, the new version packs 1.6 GHz AMD Turion Neo X-2 Dual-Core L625 processor. Needless to say, the new version promises better performance due to the difference in the processors capabilities.
Lenovo ThinkPad X100e 2876 is an 11.6 inch business-oriented laptop which is ideal for office users. The laptop packs 2 GB DDR2 memory expandable to 4 GB and 250 GB hard drive expandable to 320 GB. The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 graphic pack offers smooth video playback, but the graphics lack significance to play high quality games.
One strong feature of the laptop is its keyboard that can be easily counted among the best Laptop keyboards we have seen so far. The Chiclet-style keyboard is sure to attain ones attention and it offers overall comfort to the user. However, the touch pad below the keyboard could have been slightly bigger.
Lenovo ThinkPad X100e 2876 offers connectivity through 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Ethernet and one find Bluetooth missing from the picture. The laptop has 3 USB 2.0 ports and SD card reader; though no HDMI port is included in the design. It uses 32-bit Windows 7 Professional as the operating system.
Battery support was an issue with the single-core version and it continues with the new version as well. Still, the laptop is capable of gaining fame in the category of 11.6 inch business-oriented portable devices.
