A number of world class products have been introduced by Lenovo as part of the S series. These include the IdeaPad S9e (4187) and the IdeaPad S10e (4187 and 4231).

The Features

The S series notebooks have been fondly addressed as netbooks on account of their light weight and small size.

• IdeaPad S9e(4187): The notebook has an 8.9" WSVGA widescreen display with LED backlight, 0.3 megapixel integrated camera, touch pad with multi-touch functionality, weighs 2.43 pounds and is 0.9 inches broad.

• IdeaPad S10e(4187): It has an 10.1" WSVGA display with LED backlight, 1.3 megapixel integrated camera, touch pad with multi-touch functionality, weighs 2.43 pounds and is 0.9 inches broad.

• IdeaPad S10e (4231): Apart from the features of IdeaPad S10e (4187), IdeaPad S10e (4231) has a 10.2" widescreen display with anti-glare and LED backlight features. It is equipped with the unique OneKey Rescue system.

The models of the S series are equipped with 512MB or 1GB memory, 80GB SATA disk, Bluetooth 2.1 (except in IdeaPad S10e(4231)), wireless and multi-card reader. The battery is a standard Lithium Ion battery, either rated at 2600 mAh (3 cell) or 4800 mAh (6 cell). The users are provided all the required maintenance services like 1-year limited warranty for display, systemboard, disk; 90-day for remaining parts, International Warranty Features and EasyServ depot repair service.

The S series laptops are preloaded with some exciting applications like Evolution email client, Firefox Web Browser, GNOME Power Manager, Broadcom BCM5906 and BCM4312 for connectivity, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 for providing users with an enriched gaming experience, ThinkVantage System Update, Windows Live Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, Microsoft Office 2007 trial and PC-Doctor.
