At the first look, the HP Pavilion TouchSmart tx2z looks just like any other laptop. But as you open the lid, you will be amazed at the features it carries. The one not easily available in other laptops is that you can rotate the LCD display 360 degrees. The keyboard is a normal one with the regular touchpad for controlling the model. However, you can call it a “featherpad”. The keys do not require any pressure.
The marvel is powered by the AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile RM 72 processor that can reach a speed of 2.1 GHz. The powerful processor comes with an internal cache that can hold up to 3MB of data. The internal temporary memory is the 3 GB RAM. It is packed with a HDD that can hold up to 320 GB of data. Apart from this, there is a DVD R/W drive but no floppy drive. The machine supports a range of external plug and play storage devices.
The mainstream laptop has a range of devices to connect to the internet. You can use the built in WWLAN interface or the WLAN antenna to connect directly to the internet. The model, being average priced, is ideal for college students and people who want all the features of a basic laptop at lower costs.
