Design
HP Mini 1000 Mobile Broadband is thinner and lighter products with a weight of 2.25 pounds with thickness of an inch. The chassis is made of plastic case. The product comes with a 1.8″ inch hard drive and thus the maximum storage capacity is 60GB. The RPM would be 4200. The product has 2 ports. For plug-in monitor one needs to buy a separate VGA adapter. One single combo jack has replaced the 2 separate jacks for Mic and Headphone. Mini 1000 comes with best-quality speakers that combine the speaker and the screen hinge.
Display
HP Mini 1000 comes with 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel glossy display. The advanced features will assist in adjusting the screen brightness to such an extent that the dimmest setting would be barely visible in a modestly lit room.
Keyboard and Touch-pad
The laptop comes with one of the best keyboards with keys remain nearly full sized. The width has become fuller so as the device can accommodate the keyboard with no used space, available. The keys, however, is not as responsive as compared to others. Moreover, while pressing a little button just above the touch-pad, one can enable or disable the touch-pad. Though the glowing LED can be distracting.
Battery
The product is thinner with a 3-cell battery being fitted just beneath the computer. With the release of an extended 6-cell battery, the HP Mini 1000 would become bulky.
