The MINI 1000 has already been conferred the title of the most ‘good looking’ of all the HP pavilion laptop models. The notebook shines in its glossy finish and wears the signature premium look of HP pavilion notebooks. The flipside of the gloss is it accounts for unclear viewing in outdoors!
The MINI 1000 weighs 2.2 pounds and features a 10.2 inch 1024 x 600 display (the laptop’s also avaialbe in 8.9 inch display). The Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor drives the system with a 512 MB or 1GB DDR2 memory. Perhaps, something more than just a 60 GB hard drive capacity could have been better. The built in web camera is better than many of the other laptops and the 3-cell battery facilitates a good battery life.
The light weight of the laptop can be attributed to the usage of plastic over aluminum and the material of plastic used is reasonably hard and durable. The processor is fast and the display too is great in indoors. The stand-out features of the laptop should include its wireless transfer rates (it’s the fastest seen in any notebook), the thinner and more compact design in comparison to its rivals and a spaciously ‘wow’ keyboard! A few amends are required though in the narrow touch pad, limited expansion slot and a higher price tag.
