All About Hp Omnibook

The Hp Omnibook has a range of laptop PCs produced by Hewlett Packard. The Hp Omnibook is having lot of excellent models. The Hewlett-Packard company was formed by William Hewlett and David Packard in 1947 headquartered in Palo alto, California US and simply called as HP. It is the world's largest information technology corporation and is mainly focused on personal computers, printers, and other high end servers. HP entered into the computer market in 1966 with HP 1000, HP 2100 series of minicomputers. And it gives the birth to HP 250 and HP 9800 series of business and desktop computers. In 1984, HP introduced both the laser printers and inkjet printers for the desktop with multi functionality like printer, scanner, fax and xerox. A laptop computer is a small mobile computer, which is having less weight around 1-6 kilograms depending on materials, size and other factors. And laptops are also capable of performing the same tasks as a desktop computer performed.

The Hp Omnibook 300: The Hp Omnibook 300 was the first in HP's Omnibook laptop line and it introduced as a super portable personal computer. This Hp Omnibook 300 was first appeared into the market in 1993 with features like lightest and smallest PC, with a full size keyboard and full video graphics array(VGA) screen. It weighed around 2.9 pounds and was based on the Intel 386 processor. And it also included a pop up mouse, Microsoft word and Microsoft excel.

The Hp Omnibook 5000: The Hp Omnibook 5000 takes advantages of new technologies such as plug and play, PCI, lithium-ion batteries, mobile Pentium and others to give users the same capabilities as their desktop computers. Previously OmniBook products were focused on existing accessory tools to the conventional desktop PC. The designs were biased towards small size, long battery life and the ability to run most major programs. As the customers became introduced with their mobile computers they demanded that their portables have the same utility as their desktops. Therefore began the development of color displays, faster processors, external flexible disk drives and larger hard drives in the Hp OmniBook category.

Hp Omnibook 6100:The 6100 is having up to 1GB of memory, twice as much as the Omnibook 6000 and fitted with a 1.13-GHz PIII-M processor. It is having built-in 802.11b wireless circuitry. The HP Omnibook 6100 case measures around 1.5 inches tall, weighs around 6.4 pounds without any peripherals, a 30GB hard drive, dual pointing devices such as touch pad and eraser head with two sets of mouse buttons. In addition the 6100 has an S-Video port for using a TV like as a monitor, a second USB port and rubberized palm rests for increased typing speed. The 6100's external audio controls supports convenient for adjusting volume. Finally the Hp Omnibook 6100 offers great performance, 4 hour battery life and including a fast processor. HP received the Company of the Year award in 2005 and it has received many more awards.
