HP Envy 17 – Performance and Expressive Looks Turn the Envious Green
We have seen two member of the HPs Envy family making their entry to the world of portable computers. Both Envy 14 and Envy 17 have been well-received for offering prices cheaper than the previous Envy devices. Envy 17 continues to take the manufacturers flair to combine design with performance to a new level. The aluminum and magnesium framework of Envy 17 is being compared to the 17-inch Laptops from Apple.
With a solid and durable construction, Envy 17 is capable of inviting attention. Though, the whole credit should not be given to the Laptops design. Performance wise, the laptop has some great features to boast of. The laptop has a 17.3 inch display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution as its major highlight. The good quality viewing is accompanied by equally good audio quality offered by Beats Audio. You can certainly expect a great pleasure watching 1080p full HD videos. And before we forget to mention, the laptop has a Blue-ray drive as well.
The processor for the laptop is 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM which can be upgraded to i7-740QM and i7-840QM by spending more. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 offers good graphics support, though one might miss the presence of auto-switching graphic technology. A 4 GB DDR3 and a 500 GB hard drive reside inside the laptop.
Other highlights of HP Envy 17 include 4 USB ports, one among which is a USB 3.0 port. Also present are one VGA port, one HDMI port and one DisplayPort. There is support for 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet. The keyboard and clickpad designs are good but not as good as those found in Mac-books.
Envy 17 from HP has all good features to get noticed. Give it a try to have an exception portable computing experience.
