What a bad laptop. Ive had it 2 years, it sits in the same spot. Never been dropped, misused and it works horribly. I cant close it anymore because it messes up the screen. So it always has to stay open. It turns off ALL THE TIME on its on. Just shuts off for no reason! Im not happy at all, its not built to last even delicate minimal use.

My Compaq Presario CQ50 died 144 days out of warranty when the "hard disk controller" on the motherboard failed. Hewlett-Packard/Compaq refused to offer any consideration or assistance, advising that I should have bought an extended warranty. I responded that they should have built a machine that lasted more than 4 months past its original warranty. I will not buy another H-P or Compaq product.
