About ASUS B50A Laptop

Asus B50A is a business class laptop model with a 15.4 inch screen overlooking the system at the forefront. The laptop runs on an Intel Centrino platform i.e. the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a fast 800 MHZ DDR2 memory, a maximum 320 GB SATA Hard disk drive. The laptop is even geared up with the onboard Intel GMA X4500HD graphics. Frankly, high definition videos play elegantly in the B50A, but this laptop isn’t a great one for gamers. Is it because it’s a business class model? Don’t businessmen play games? Nevertheless, it boasts of some ‘business class’ functionalities that are rarely seen in other laptops-the built in keyboard backlit and water resistance up to 120 CCS are a couple of worthy examples. For network connectivity, the laptop takes shelter with Bluetooth 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and integrated 802.11 a/g/b/n.

The 6-cell battery supposedly runs for 5 hours on a ‘battery savings’ settings. It’s not a great battery life, but isn’t bad either and is sufficient to make the laptop more portable and mobile! The laptop weighs a bit heavy on six pounds and that comes across bitterly in the current ‘light-weighted notebook’ trend. The Windows Vista Ultimate is the de facto operating system provided.
