About Acer Extensa 4220 Laptop
Acer Extensa 4220 falls in the category of mid-size laptops, as is obvious from the physical built up of this notebook. The notebook is packed in the dimensions of 13 x 9.8 x 1.6 inches and carries a weight of 5.3 pounds, which signifies its high performance as a portable device.
The 14.1 inch TFT active matrix display provides widescreen capabilities with 24-bit color support and picture resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The input devices are included in the form of keyboard, touchpad and 4-way scroll button. Apart from 2 GB of RAM, the laptop offers 120 GB of hard drive storage to the users. Optical device is also included in the form of dual layer DVD writer to bring goodness to this notebook.
With support of Intel Core Solo T1400 processor, the Acer notebook becomes capable of offering some great technologies like Speed Step technology and Execute Disable Bit capability. The operating system support is offered by Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
Integrated Wireless LAN capabilities, apart from network card support and 56 k modem, endows the laptop with some great network capabilities. The lithium ion battery is integrated to provide the support for 3 hours.

Bought it back in 2008 and still using it. (as of mid 2010). Quite goot laptop for office work and programming. Not good for games. It shipped with Vista so had to buy 1GB of RAM to it.
Recently plastic around the power connection that is soldered to motherboard craked. So cannot power it anymore. Tried to soldered it myself using super glue and electric soldered but no success.

I bought this system about a year ago. I haven't really had any problems with it. Im thinking about upgrading the hard drive, but thats because I want it to be a little bit faster. But You get what you paid for. All in all I believe that this laptop is definantly worth its cost. Works great, havent had any problems... and I dont know what that other girl is saying- because my charger and cd drive is just fine. It gets a little hot sometimes and I chose to restore my computer atleast once or twice so far, but I use it ALOT so, its okay.

I bought this laptop in November, it is the biggest piece of shit I've ever had the misfortune of owning, the pin that you plug the charger into has broken twice, it is integrated into the motherboard so I have had that replaced twice, and now the cd drive wont open. I wont send it in to be fixed even though it is still covered by the 1yr manufacturer warranty because they say you will have it back in 7 to 10 business days but in reality it takes about a month and half, and if you call to check you are going to have to talk to an incompetent idiot. DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE!!!! Save yourself the grief and spend the little bit more, you will definitely be happy with that decision.
