The Budget class notebook is just 1.7 inches in height and is compatible with a wide range of wireless and wired networks so that you can connect to your ISP using one to access the internet. It offers WLAN, WWAN NIC, and infra-red points for wireless connectivity. For wired connections, you can use the built in Ethernet card.

Inside the unit, the AMD mobile Turion processor runs at a speed of 2 GHz. The Level 2 cache can hold 2 MB of data to increase the speed of local data transfer. The model comes with 3 GB RAM that can be expanded to 4 GB at max. It also holds a SATA enabled HDD of 250 GB, besides offering support to a number of plug and play storage devices. The Acer Aspire 6530 also offers a DVD RW drive.

That Linda was something known as the "blue screen of death" which is common in computers with a vista OS. I think it's ur OS that is buggered. ^_^....man i hate vista. Also i am having further troubles with my lappy. Whenever in play a game on it the stupid lappy seems to want to turn off. Must be the fan. ^_^

IT WAS MY SONS 1ST LAPTOP. WE BOUGHT IT FROM BEST BUY AND IT WAS GREAT UNTIL ABOUT ALMOST A MONTH IT DIED COULD NOT STAY ON COULD NOT EVEN BOOT UP. BLUE LIGHT CAME ON FOR A SEC AND THEN SHUT OFF. WE DID NOT BUY A SVC AGREEMENT W/BEST BUY BUT WE TOOK IT DOWN TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEY COULD NOT SERVICE IT. THEY SUSPECT ITS THE MEMORY BUT NEVER FOUND OUT WE GOT OUR MONEY BACK.

I was rather impressed with it's capabilities. It can take quite a beating although my fullstop key fell off for no reason in perticular. Nice performance and settings switch(Empowering technology) could do with a better graphics card. Also has a dodgy wireless card in my opinion. One thing i find extremely ennoying is the keyboard ash and dust and all sorts gets stuck in it, however it is a nice laptop. ^_^

I absolutely love my Aspire 6530. It's my first laptop, and the cost was absolutely miraculos. Mine wore down very quickly, which is one of the downsides. I've had it for about 10 months and it looks like either I've been using it for a decade, or that I beat the crap out of it. It runs great however. One of the annoying things is that you start off with a lot of crap on it, like Acer GameZone and the Acer store, but I think those can be removed. All in all, it is definetly something worth buying.

The 6530 offers an awful lot for the under-$400 price tag. No, it's not a tank, but it's again, under $400! The keyboard is a bit "slick" to the touch, but doesn't bounce around like on most other laptops. Screen is decent and bright. Performance is good for the hardware. My only minor complaint is the orange flashing wifi connection icon on top of the keyboard - VERY distracting, and I had to put a piece of tape to cover it as it was driving me nuts (dumbdumbdumb design idea). Otherwise, worth the money.

I love love love my new laptop. This is my first laptop (purchased for use at school - University of Louisville) and because of it, I'll never go back to a desktop. It has a beautiful color (sapphire blue) and shape. I would recommend this to ANYONE for ANY USE. At around 400 dollars plus free case, mouse and printer at Best Buy, you'd be super crazed to pass it up!

I just bought this laptop yesterday and so far it's been great. I've gotten tons of compliments about it. No one believes that I got such a great quality laptop for 329.99! I couldn't have asked for a better one and this is my second Acer my frst one was the Aspire 3610. Acer is built to last just like Toshiba. I wish it wasn't blue bt tht I can live with. lol

I recently purchased an aspire 6530. Performance is very good and the display quality is excellent. The 512mb dedicate graphics makes game playing brilliant and the blueray player takes you to a different level when viewing dvds. Overall the machine is good to excellent and added extras, such as the fingerprint reader, add to security. It is a great machine for storing pictures and music. On the negative side I don't like the looks and build quality of the machine. The shiny black plastic scratches if you look at it and a two week old machine looks years old. My machine came with a key on the keypad not fitting flush with the rest and it had a deep scratch on it. I did contact acer and they offered to quote me for a repair (on a new machine). The keyboard is, in fact, pretty poor. Even though the performance is great I still prefer the looks and feel of my old HP Pavillion.
