About Acer Aspire 5735 Laptop

A budget friendly notebook, the Acer Aspire 5735 focuses more on offering entertainment by way of multimedia gaming and videos as well as audio. Built on the Intel Centrino II technology, the unit includes the Intel Duo Core 64 bit processor that can reach a peak speed of 2.0 GHz. It carries 2GB RAM along with 160 GB SATA enabled HDD.

Among the best features of the Acer Aspire 5735 is the widescreen based on 16:9 wide pixels that support both PAL and NTSC. Powered by the Intel GMA technology, the display offers true-to-life images, be it a network game or a movie you are watching. The sound system is great with 4 way surround sound technology. The audio is from High Definition series based on Draft Dolby.

For connectivity, the laptop offers a range of options. For wired networks, it has a FAX MODEM and an Ethernet card. It carries wireless WWAN NIC as well as an infra red point. A lower version of Wi-Fi is also present that helps you connect to the internet through the Wi-Fi hotspots available world-wide.

In short, the Acer Aspire 5735 is meant for people who are more into entertainment. The system is fast enough to offer you real time gaming experience. The movie buffs can also connect the unit to their home theatre using the video and audio out points.

I have an Acer Aspire 5734Z. I sent this unit in to have the monitor replaced. I have only had it for 1 month. I get it back and now it will not connect to my wireless router. I called the so called Tech no support and they say its not a hardware issue and that its a software setting issue, and that I only have hardware warranty not software warranty, so now I have to pay to have it fixed. This is the biggest piece of Sh!t I will never buy another Acer product again. Do not waste your money

Do not purchase Acer computers! I will never purchase an Acer product ever again. I purchased this laptop on 12/9/09. On 10/12/09 the LCD screen failed during normal use. It was still under warranty, so I was told by their tech, to send it in for repair, and that I had to use UPS and a special box which cost me over $30.00. Acer called to say they will not honor the warranty. They are claiming that a crack in the LCD is considered physical damage by the consumer. This is nonsense. The crack is behind the glass. There is no physical damage to the glass screen or any part of this laptop at all. They offered to repair it for 199.00. The warranty does not exclude the LCD screen from coverage, so they are using the warranty language regarding misuse in order to get out of honoring the 1 year warrranty. I have contacted the BBB, and encourage anyone with s similar problem to do the same.

I bought this laptop and since day 1 gave me problems, I called acer and seems that they need to change the motherboard, I must pay for sending it by UPS. I just hope they are able to repair it. I just regret buying it and not changing it on time to the store
