I recieved my Acer 6030 for Christmas. Immediately I encountered problems with it, it wouldn't run properly and half of the time it didn't turn on. So, one month after I recieved it, I returned. They sent it back "fixed" and I to have problems with it. In July, it would not even turn on anymore, but in order to send it back Acer was going to charge $199 just to look at it, and then they would charge me for actually fixing the computer which exceeded the value of the piece of crap computer. So I said no thank you and bought a cheap Toshiba and have had no problems with it whatsoever.

When the pointer doesn't jump all over a document, at will, it works reasonably well. The computer shuts the internet connection at will as well. Sent it to Acer Repair ($30 shipping), noted that it was returned the same day received: I don't think they even bothered to try fixing either of the two problems above. Avoid this machine--and probably the manufacturer as well.
